Big Boy Bed

About a month ago, we took down Cooper's crib because he hated it. I think he feels like he is in....PRISON!!! Behind bars! Locked Away! Since he was a horrible sleeper his first year (waking up 4, 5, 6 times a night!!!), he didn't sleep in it much anyway. He kept trying to climb out and I just knew it wouldn't be good to keep him in there. He is a climber.
Instead of putting up the toddler bed, we went straight t0 a bunkbed some neighbors down the street gave us last year. Cooper won't stay in bed if one of us doesn't lay next to him until he falls asleep. Of course, the bunk beds are officially cool and have become a source of play. Many adventures will be had on that top bunk!!! The kids love to bonk their heads on the ceiling since we put it where the ceiling slants in Cooper's room. He almost sleeps through the night now. It is so nice for me!!!! Now, I just wish he was lay in his bed and fall asleep by himself:)

I should try that. Colton doesn't sleep through the night either. Cooper and him sound alike in their bed time hours. I have to sleep with Colton at night.

I can't believe he is out of the crib! I fill like he should still be a baby!! Time flies. I am glad he is sleeping better for you! I don't know how I would do it if I had a kid wake up that many times in a night!! You are a great mommy!!!

Wow! I can't believe he's in a big boy bed already! That's awesome that he's sleeping better for you now though! Luckily Andrew hasn't started trying to climb out of his crib...I don't know what I'd do!

Hey, Michelle! Cute kids! How quickly they grow up. Sleep is a much needed thing for Mom, so I'm glad he is sleeping better. Hey, we made our blog private, so will you email me so I can invite you? Wesjennw@gmail.com

I can't believe how big he has gotten!! Is he seriously big enough for a big boy bed? They grow up way too fast!

Heh, I so relate. We took Tennyson's crib down at about 9 months. It just didn't work either and he was sleeping with us all night. I love the idea of bunk beds though!! How fun. I'm VERY impressed Coop sleeps through the night, but don't be too bummed about the going to sleep by himself part...Tennyson still requires snuggling til he zonks, and he's almost 8. But I know there will be a day when he won't let me cuddle him to sleep, so I cherish it, even now.
