Thought Spring was Here? WRONG!

Last week, we went on walks outside with just a jacket or a long sleeve shirt. We played at the park, fed the ducks, rode bikes, etc. We knew that SPRING was here. Oh, how we were WRONG!!! Monday, we woke up to snow - not just a sprinkle, but inches! Throughout the day, it snowed and snowed more. By the end of the day, we had over a foot of snow on our front lawn. I actually was happy because we could take Cadence and Cooper sledding one last time.

We loaded up the kids and sleds. Chris and Cadence bought a 5 1/2 foot toboggan so our whole family could fit on it at once. Cadence was so excited to use it. (We've been reading a book called "The Wild Toboggan Ride and Cadence loves it.")
As we drove to the park on Cliffside, the snow got deeper and deeper - all fresh powder! There was so much powder that only established/packed sledding trails could be used. Cadence didn't love sledding this time as much as last. She was more interested in playing on the playground. Cooper fell asleep in the 4 minutes that it took us to drive up the hill.
Still, it was fun and deep! We thought about making a snowman, but the powder wouldn't pack! In the pictures with Cadence, she is standing in the snow - not kneeling or sitting. Wading/walking through the snow was very difficult for her and she would get frustrated because she couldn't move very well:(
I'm quite sure this snow will melt quickly and spring will be back soon! We are excited to resume our spring activities!!!

I love the pictures! Your kids are adorable! I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with the snow! It better be gone by the time I come home in May!

As sad as I am for you that you have to live farther north than me where it snows more I'm thrilled that you live in Utah and get cupcakes! That will make your spring uh, springier? (Sproing). My email is amberlicious AT gmail DOT come (you know for the spammies) drop me a line for some cupcake goodness.

Wes says, "See, Chris knows how to have real fun!" when I told him about the 5 1/2 foot toboggan! You guys are the coolest. What a cute, fun family. You have such beautiful kids. I can't believe how gorgeous they are!

I can't believe that Cooper is getting so big. I love the fact that my kids are close in age. They are the best of friends.
