Young Women Pre-School Magic

Last week for the Young Women's activity in our ward, they did a preschool for the kids ages 2-4. I knew that Cadence would love it. She was such a big girl. Every time I say the word "school" she gets so excited! She LOVES school. She walked into the room by herself and had a blast. I'm not sure of everything they did, but I know there was singing, coloring, snacks, running around in the gym and storytime. Cadence really enjoyed her time at "pre-school." As soon as we got home, she ran to her room and found "The Cat In The Hat" which was one of the stories during storytime. That was her bed-time story.
On Sunday, she was excited to go to church because I told her nursery was "pre-school nursery. " She hasn't wanted to go to nursery by herself for 9 months!!! I can usually leave for 15 -30 minutes, but then she misses me and cries for me to come back. This Sunday, Chris dropped her off at "pre-school nursery." I think this is crucial to her being by herself. Then she played, had storytime, lesson, snack, and balloons (her favorite part.) She stayed the whole time by herself. I think we have found the two keys - Dad taking her and calling it school. The word "SCHOOL" IS PURE MAGIC. After church is over, we always let Cadence run around in the gym. She loves the way her feet sound on the wood floor! Thanks Young Women for the great activity for my daughter!!! I wish we would have done some creative activities like this when I was the YW President. What a great idea.

That IS a great idea, I'll have to suggest it to our YW. The Faith in God girls did child care about a month ago and "borrowed" Eden for it. She loved it, they loved it, and I appreciated not having to find other care for her while I was doing mutual. Beautiful!

What a cute idea for a young womens activity! I love that Cadence loves school so much- hopefully she feels the same way when she actually does start school!

I'm in YW and the Beehives would LOVE this. Thanks for sharing the great idea. I'm loving the posts. The pumpkins are great. I'll have to remember this one when Braxton is a tad older. For now we'll be painting our pumpkin as a family.

Michelle I was so glad to see you make a comment on my page and to find yours. I am so excited that I can keep in touch with you through the blog. Your new little baby is a doll. It looks like you have totally settled into being a mother of two! And Cadence has grown soooo much! Anyhow, good to see you girl. I miss you. Tell your little family hi!
